Summary

The experiment was carried out at the Pomology Department of the Szczecin University of Agriculture. There were compared three cultivars of Blue Honeysuckle: ‘Wojtek’, ‘Zielona’ and ‘Czarna’. ‘Wojtek’ cultivar was characterized by the longest increase of one-year shoot. Blue Honeysuckle began yielding in the first year after planting. The greatest crops were received from bushes of ‘Wojtek’ cultivar, however the yield of ‘Czarna’ cultivar was twice as small as ‘Wojtek’s’. The bushes of ‘Czarna’ were characterized by the lowest amount of windfalls, fruits were the biggest and firmer. The tested fruits of Blue Honeysuckle were marked by a low content of harmful nitrates and high content of vitamin C.
